Believe it or not, the second day of our honeymoon was spent catching up on sleep. Our schedule was jam-packed during the days leading up to the wedding, then the errands after, then the early flight to Bohol. We got to sleep-in on this day.
For some strange reason my regular camera didn't function so below are shots from my Nokia 6680.
Later that afternoon we decided to avail of our free 1 hour use of the Eskaya's jet ski. Boy was that thing fast! We went down the shoreline looking for the beachfronts of the resorts we knew. There was the Ananyana, Bohol Beach Club, Flushing Meadows until we reached the cliffs of Bohol Bee Farm. We covered that distance in only 10 minutes.
Pao really wanted to rev that baby up so I asked that he return me to Eskaya before he starts skipping the water in full throttle. And that he did. I'll upload a video as proof.
Later that night Pao had arranged for our dinner to be at the poolside. It was a cool, starry night and local musicians filling the air with love songs. The staff surprised us by arranging some lamps into a heart to set the mood. Pao had maya-maya sinigang and I had a pan-seared lapu-lapu. Oh my, their servings were so huge! I would've just shared with Pao's very good sinigang but a meal each was the package we took. And there was a bonus: kilawin compliments of the chef. Everything was so yummy and we were stuffed. Kulang nalang i-gulong ako ni Pao to our balai.
Once again when we returned to our balai we found it ready for bedtime and the sweet smell of citronella oil was coming from the lamps in the outdoor bath. To this day, when I smell citronella, I remember Eskaya.
Eskaya really appealed to all our senses. Such a beautiful place.
