The little Jazz went ...

490.5 KM on a tank of Shell's E10. The gas indicator lit up this afternoon though the needle wasn't really touching empty yet.  I was hoping to see my Jazz hit 500+ km but I didn't want to risk stalling in the middle of Alabang Zapote road so Pao and I decided to top-up with another tank of E10.

Surely E10 was more fuel efficient; this has been the most distance Jazzie has covered in a tank of gas in city driving mode.  No horror stories here on being underpowered or weird noises from my engine.  It has been a complaint-free tank of gas.

Ok, so automatic full tank yielded 33.68 Liters x Php 54.570 (yup, weekly increases all right) = Php 1,837.92  (196.92 of which will go the the government in the form of VAT)

Now let's see.... that's 490.5 divided by 33.68 which gives us.... 14.56 Km per Liter!

Oh joy!   Yup,  Shell's E10 is my new fuel. :D

naks, todo math. what does E10 have?

new special fuel?

you might break the 500km mark when you go straight to pagudoud!
10% Ethanol, an eco-friendly component and ...

From their website>>> "Like regular Shell Unleaded, Shell Unleaded E10 contains Shell’s exclusive Fuel Economy Formula, which is designed to help improve fuel economy by reducing efficiency losses caused by engine deposits and friction."

:D

so why dont they put this fuel economy formula in all their fuels?
Eto, more math:

Jazzie's tank is 45 Liters total. I topped-up only 33.68 Liters which means I had 11.32 Liters more in the car even as my gas light was on. At 14.56 Km per Liter that translates to an additional 164.8 Km.

If I ignored that light and took a joy ride to the North Express Way till my car stopped, maximum distance would've been 655.3 Km :D
93 lang ang octane rating ng E10. For 95 octane rating, go for V-Power.

Sarap magka Jazz... May nilagay ako sa car ko para daw tumipid ang consumtion. It's like a pill that you will put in your gas tank.

aaargh my head! too many numbers!

you do the math when Vato's fuel tank indicator lights up. We'll see how the Tokyo X does on a tank of E10. :)
Hindi pala maganda E10 for an X-trail... Haaay. Balik sa Caltex Gold.
