Our new home

Pao and I signed and paid for our first home together lunch time today. It's a lovely 52 sqm 1 BR unit at the Amorsolo Condominium with parking, a stone's throw away from my office and just behind the gym I go to.

God is good and He answers specific prayers. The Creator of the universe loves taking care of the details in our lives.

Pao and I have been searching and praying for a place we'd call our first home as husband and wife. We've considered Merville, Rosewood Pointe in Taguig and Valle Verde in Pasig. I've been very vocal on the idea of walking to work. The close proximity would afford me the time to be wifey to Pao and would definitely help me save on transportation expenses.

We got this unit in 5 days. I had to buy something at Makati Cinema Square last Friday, June 13 and while I was there I decided to take a chance and ask if their residential tower had any vacancies. That's where I met Jo Calicdan of JPA Realty. There were no vacancies in MCS but she'll let me know if there are other properties that fit our criteria: 1BR, w/Parking, Php18K down budget, Makati area. By the time I got back to the office after lunch I got a text from Jo that she found this unit. Pao and I wasted no time and viewed it right that afternoon.

We were surprised to see how spacious it was for a condo in Makati. Sure it was 15 years old but hey, we like it. :)

We decided to get it Saturday. I was supposed to meet with the broker yesterday but I got stuck in a meeting so it was moved today which was better coz Pao, my dad and mom were able to go with me and view the unit.

So there, signed-sealed-delivered today. :) Here are some pics of the house. It's a nice "before" picture. We've got plans to spurce this baby up. The plan is to take the rest of June to fix and clean the place then Pao moves in in July and I move in after the wedding! But as of tomorrow I've got free parking in Makati! :D
