Medyo madami-dami pa ang kulang ko para sa wedding this August. [Oh no, I'm writing in Taglish! Pasensya na ha.] I've been asking referrals from recent brides and co-brides-to-be on their suppliers and their suggestions, tips and tricks have proved very helpful.
We've pretty much covered the major and expensive items for the wedding like the venue, gown, and photo-video. Our wedding announcer site is updated every time we get to sign up a supplier. We've started planning this event August last year and started working on the plan Feb of this year. Slowly we're getting all the pieces together but there are just some details that I can't get off my mind.
Why don't I just hire a wedding coordinator? I did and Lynne and her team will take care of coordinating with suppliers that we've contracted. So Paolo and I still have to work on looking, choosing, negotiating and closing the deals.
So here's what's kulang pa and I'm actively canvassing for options:
Aside from these meron pang maliliit na details that I'm still working on - sounds, event styling, program flow, song list / soundtrack, every changing guest list and budget. But I know these things will fall into place over the next 4 months. My thanks and praise to God continues for his wonderful provision, love and favor. Despite the pending items above, I know it'll all turn out great.

So here's what's kulang pa and I'm actively canvassing for options:
- Mother of the Bride's (MOB) and Mother of the Groom's (MOG) gowns - I'm wearing a Terno gown. I want the moms to also be in Terno gowns flattering to their petite figures. I want them to be in gold, cream, beige or pinya. I saw options at Tesoros but maybe we can get something coutured for them.
- Bridesmaids' and Flowergirls' gowns - It's a matter of budget. The ones I've asked over the weekend costs 5,000 up per piece. I find that too pricey. We're still looking for something more cost effective.
- Entourage flowers - I've got the ceremony and reception flowers already. That was part of the package with Sofitel. The bridal bouquet and all the flowers for the entourage are a different matter. I got a quote today for Php20,000 but from a very reputable florist using flowers that I really adore. I intend to have my bouquet preserved along with some of the wedding stuff in a shadow box. I really want my flowers to be gorgeous.
- Shoes - Can't be just any shoe design. It's got to be a wedge sling back, closed-toe, not too high and in gold fabric. Most readily available formal shoes are stilettos. I can't go for those because the ceremony will be at a garden and we're doing away with the red carpet so everything looks natural. I've searched for the perfect pair at ATC, Festi, SM Southmall, Landmark, Glorietta and MOA.... and nothing. I might end up having a pair custom made by Solea, Figlia or Lila Almario.
- Invitation printer - It's only now that we've pegged down the look. Even if we haven't completed our ninongs and ninangs list I want to pick the design and carve out a contract so that's out of the way na. It's just kinda tricky since Pao and I are designers and we're very particular with the design. We don't want to just pick off a catalogue or template so we have to look for a wedding invitation printer who can pull-off a custom design for us within our budget.

If you married a very organized woman, and she talks to you about the details, you better not yawn or else you are going to miss out on something.
If you married a easy going woman, ikaw naman ang bubugbog sa details, and you would not be happy if she yawns.
Haha! :D
