This is how I learned how to do websites – writing HTML on Notepad. During my third year in college I got sick with Chicken Pox. Knowing that I wouldn’t be able to go to school for at least 3 weeks, my dad signed me up for internet access so I could at least continue research on my Thesis Paper. What else to do while down with the pox? Learn web site designing from scratch. - Drive fast.
I don’t drive “like a girl.” Well, what does that phrase mean anyway? Even before my fascination with Formula 1, I’ve been driving fast. Skyway at 140kph. The Star toll end to end in less than 10 minutes. C5 from toll booth to Fort Bonifacio in 6min. Yes I drive fast, but I think I also scare my passengers. : - Cook. Bake. Make ice cream. (oh, I said that already.)
My mom cooks really well and I love the meals she serves my family. She got me and my sister really interested in cooking by involving us in preparing the meals while were young. In high school, we had kitchen lab classes where we cooked and baked. Nowadays I cook when mom is tired and during special occasions. I bake when I feel like it and I make ice cream when there’s an oversupply of mangoes from Dad’s trips to Cebu or Bacolod. - Sew, embroider and crochet.
So here’s a skill I have that is quite lost to my generation. As kids we were taught these home crafts from grade school to high school. Every now and then I get to mend my own clothes if need be. I know how to cross stitch but I didn’t catch that craze when it hit four years ago. - Type without looking at the keyboard.
- Get ready in 10 minutes.
Includes but not limited to taking a bath, brushing teeth, dress up, fix hair and simple make-up. - Wedding and event photography.
Hay, this blog topic was indeed a tough one. I'm drafting the next one already and I think that one will be just as tough.
