7 important things in my bedroom (5/10)

  1. My Life Application Bible (New International Version)
I asked my Dad for this specific Bible three birthdays ago. The notes, background info and character profiles helps me in knowing God more and more each day. [See what it looks like.]

  2. My journal
I’ve been keeping a journal (offline mode) for seven years now. I average a page everyday. Now, it’s not like this blog or any “Dear Diary” kind of thing. My journal contains thoughts, favorite verses of the day, prayer requests, answered prayers, whispers from the throne room of God. One day I pray my children and grandchildren would read my journal and want to experience for themselves a life involved with God and one that God’s involved in. Nothing hidden - it's got all the ups and downs, highs and lows, tears and laughter, deep revelations and blank days - but they'd read how God has carried me through my seasons.

  3. A dictionary
There are just some words in the English language that perplexes me. In my daily Bible reading I encounter simple words that I’ve taken for granted in my life. Finding the true meaning of the word reveals a remarkable truth about the intention of God.

  4. My O2 XDAII charger
There’s another one for the car but this is the only one for a wall socket. After thanking God for another day ahead, charging my phone is the 2nd order of the day. If I use my phone for calls and a lot of PC-based usage (translation: games), the battery life lasts me only till just before dinner. A charger nearby is a must.

  5. My Seretide inhaler
Praise God I don’t need it on a daily basis anymore. That thing costs P1,200 per month for 50 doses and my pulmonologist prescribed 4 a day: 2 puffs in the morning and 2 at night. Getting regular excerice and keeping fit has held back the asthma. Thank God for His healing!

  6. A tripod
Someone told me about this party a friend of hers hosted. From the looks of the photos taken, it was great. Then she asked me, "Were you at the party? I didn't see you in the pictures." Well, I was. In fact, I took all those pictures.

The bad thing about owning a camera and bring it to social events is that I’m never in the picture. To solve that problem, I lug around a tripod and mount the next item on this list so that there’s evidence that I was at a party or an event.

  7. My Fuji FinePix S602Z [see review]
This is an answered prayer from Christmas 2003. It’s been a tradition in my spiritual family to end the year with a thanksgiving list and continue on with a faith list of things we’ll be believing God for the next year. I had in my list “a really nice digital SLR camera.” Christmas Day dad wanted for us to go to the mall. We passed by the display in a camera store and I pointed out the camera I liked. Then and there he signed for it and I had my camera even before the New Year has started. I LOVE this camera.

P.S. Hmm, this maded me think of a sequel entitled "7 important things in my car." But that's for another post.
