The Lord gave me a Word last month when I was praying for wisdom how to go about my resignation. He said, "August 15."
At that time I didn't know what He meant. Did He mean that I file on that day? Did He mean I'd be out by that day? When I asked for clarity, with a wink and a smile the Lord repeated, "August 15."
I believed God and trusted Him that by faith I would see His goodness and faithfulness on August 15.
Days go by as I wait patiently for the Lord in eager anticipation of August 15. Many things have happened both trying and wonderful. His favor is upon our projects as we work towards launching them. Opportunities abound via my headhunter and referrals from industry friends. All of these I know my God made happen.
Yesterday was August 15. The day started with a prayer reminding God of the date. Not that He needed reminding but it was more of me claiming in faith that surely I would see the Lord move on my behalf today. I prayed for wisdom and discernment for me to stay sharp and not miss out on what He would be doing.
Work started as usual and then it happened at 10:00 am. My headhunter called saying that the prospective job I liked was considering me and that they'd like to schedule a meeting for the job offer.
Wow. Indeed the Lord is good and faithful. He still amazes me. Oh happy day! :D
I thought that was it. When I came home from an intense workout with my personal trainer, Kaye, at Fitness First, mom had a message for me. The 2nd prospective job that I met just last Friday called to schedule a meeting the morning of the same day as prospect #1.
Wow #2. When God blesses, He does so abundantly for when Jesus came to this earth, He came that we may have life and have it to the full. (John 10:10)
So here it is today and I am about to face an opportunity to step out of my comfort zone, a step of faith, a step towards a new chapter/season of my life. I will be strong and courageous (Joshua 1:6,7 &9) because God said He will never leave me nor forsake me (Joshua 1:5).
And the compensation package? The Lord God is able to do immeasurably more than all we can ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20). By faith, which is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see (Hebrews 11:1), I know it will be good - because He is good.
Lord, your love is amazing. Hallelujah! :D

Makes me think, I should listen to Him more often.
